Specifically designed for Railway Photography, this software can also catalogue any subject For example, Family Photos, Antique collections, Architecture, Business Products, Field Research photos, Hobbies, etc. I even have a client who is using it to catalogue denture mouldings! |

This simple software package allows you to catalogue your jpg files and have the ability to search on any of the information you have provided. Ideally this program is for use with images stored on a PC hard drive or external drive
The following is a guide as to how long it takes to store the search data for 10,000 Photos W7 with 2.2Ghz processor & 2Gb of RAM The image size isnot relevant for the search feature, but obviously image size will determine how many images you can store on any drive, If you catalogue images on several drives, each drive will have to be loaded individually to utilise the search feature. Depending on the image size, the time taken to show/print selected images For those who scan slides, there is a slide numbering system incorporated Imagine, with just 3 clicks you can find 4472 (Flying Scotsman) on the Mishref (Container Ship) at Darling Harbour or Susan on Holiday in England at Penzance. |

Here are some of the other features of this software: Having folders for each event makes it frustrating to find Photos and create a montage of pictures from different folders. With PhotoXplorer you only need one folder & with the powerful search feature you can quickly create a photo album or slide show by selecting the Subject, Event, or Location. You can also mix and match selection criteria. Creating photo albums has never been easier, No need to select a Portrait or Lansdcsape frame, No need to find photos to put in the frames & best of all no need to add captions (the caption is already stored with the photo) No need to save photo albums either, its’ so simple you just create a new one when you need to, which will also include recent photos since you last printed an album For those who want to create copies of images with a copyright or text can do so either at the cataloguing stage or as a stand alone process, a simple click allows text colour change from 4 colours ![]() Naming photos has always been a problem, how do you name a photo with the same subject, but taken at a different angle? Maybe you used a,b,c or 1,2,3; PhotoXplorer does this for you, once you have named the first photo, same photos are named with a single click! No more right click to rename. Sample photos can be downloaded for learning to rename, & to Demonstrate the search features. Details you enter are stored, so that next time you want to name a photo, the details you entered before are able to be selected without typing. On screen instructions make it easy to navigate the renaming process For Family / General Photography catalogue screen would look like this ![]() For Rail Photography catalogue screen would look like this ![]() The search feature to locate photos is extremely fast, you can search by: Subject; Event; Location, or a combination of these, you can also search for Susan on Holiday in UK at Trafalgar Square. You can also search by Date. For Railway enthusiasts you can also find all the photos with a particular locomotive in the combination or all the photos with that locomotive leading. You can superimpose a Copyright notice on photos with a single click with NO typing of name or date! Photos selected for the slide show or album can be copied for you to a folder for email or burning to a cd, with an option to reduce size (this program does not send emails or burn cd’s) After using this program and realise you want photos identified differently you can amend the Subject, Event or Location; all of these can be changed with a single click. You can also rotate photos, or delete photos that are out of focus. Also, you can view the exif data to check camera settings There are 2 basic purposes of using this program to catalogue photos, the first is a typical Family Photo scenario which allows you to print in a typical Album format, note the captions are obtained from the cataloguing process so no additional text has to be added. |

| The
second option is for people who may be doing research projects and want
to add text to the photo Some photos do not conform to the Exif standard, if they do not conform, it is not possible to add notes This is how it looks when photos need to be printed with the attached note, which allows 1160 characters or about 190 words. There are also other options for printing individual photos either with or without, captions or notes |
